Primrose Evergreen's Winter Forecast (Winter Challenge)

I've already written how Mellowdene village avoids the worst weather - however, the deeper one travels into the county, the less protection there is against the elements. What would Mellowdenians do about that? That was the inspiration for the story.

Being numerous outdoor locations I've had to do some photo-editing. The story gave me a chance to use a couple of my Bluey vehicles - which was fun.

Oh, one last point - one of the reasons I started my blog was so that I could contribute to the forum. I'm delighted to see that the number of views has just passed 100,000. Thank you to all of you who contributed to that count!

Primrose Evergreen's Winter Forecast

Hello! It's Darcy again. Back at work and quite happy how business has been handled during my extended Christmas break. I hadn't decided what to write for you but inspiration came after a visit from Primrose Evergreen

Primrose Evergreen is Mellowdene's weather forecaster. I understand she's always had an affinity for meteorological predictions but that has been honed over her life so that her accuracy is uncanny. She regularly travels to Upper Mellowdene to observe Coldmount Peak and records movements of ice particles whirling about the pinnacle. She says this helps her long-range forecasts. I've no reason to dispute that.

  1. Skylark: I enjoyed reading about winter in Mellowdene! I live in a pretty snowy place so I can relate to the preparation and foresight needed to keep life going through the snowy season. I also liked hearing about the mysterious meterology of Chunglewood!

  2. Hi Jackson!
What a great look at how Mellowdene prepares for winter!

The mystery of the 'Chunglewood barrier' is definitely the most intriguing part. It’s so strange to think they haven’t seen snow for over a decade.

I also love the focus on community, from the HHG team keeping the roads clear to Rocky Babblebrook’s personal deliveries.

I have to say, I absolutely love the pictures and the different vehicles featured in this story. You managed to find a transport system that suits the Sylvanian size perfectly and the pictures look amazing!

It seems that as long as Primrose Evergreen is forecasting the weather, everyone in Mellowdene (well, except maybe the Chunglewood folks!) is ready for the worst of winter."

Thanks for this new update about the winter season in Mellowdene!
Have a nice day! Take care!

    1. Thanks! With the mild weather enjoyed by Mellowdene village it was clear I'd need to venture out into the county. The county map helped me pinpoint where help would be needed to combat the weather.
