2026 New Releases - June 2026

I hope everyone's had a lovely June! Let's check out some news and new releases for this month.

To start, a little warning. I encountered something dismaying that I had been anticipating for a while but hadn't seen until recently: there are AI-generated images out there that appear to show new Sylvanian sets, but are totally fake. They are more convincing than ever, so be wary! If it's not on any official SF/CC channels or listed on a reputable store, it's best to be cautious.

Now let's look at some real items:

Starting out with some new keychains featuring a Silk Cat and a Chocolate Rabbit older sister in extravagant gowns. These are exclusive to the online store and official shops and were released in Japan on June 20th.

Lulu Silk Cat sister keychain: She wears a dress with a pink upper featuring white lace and a gold brooch with a pearly white middle. The dress' skirt is white with large flowers that look like Wild Roses. The flowers have pink and gold details and are surrounded by grey-green foliage. Next to Lulu, on the keyring, is an elegantly tied piece of the floral fabric.Stella Chocolate Rabbit keychain: She wears a dress with a cream upper and large, looping, lace collar. The dress' white skirt has a wide red belt above a maximalist floral pattern of blue, pink, and yellow flowers and green foliage. The skirt features multiple layers and a lacey underskirt. The keyring also has a tied piece of the floral fabric.

Calico Critters has some new items for North American collectors. It looks like the CC line will be getting the Corgi family (albeit without babies). Some new nursery items have been added to the CC site too, which seem to be a potential Easy Buy line for North America? One of these sets (the Castle Nursery) was already released in Brazil's Easy Buy line (with a different figure). Some of the items also have an "ES" in the item name (maybe "Easy Sell"?). Definitely some speculation on my part there, so take that with a grain of salt.

Here are those newly listed nursery items:

Nursery Sandbox & Pool

A plastic nursery castle that babies could fit inside. It's white with pink turrets that have yellow star, sun, and moon accents on top. There is a blue balcony, a slide, and stairs with colourful tops. There is a wading pool on the yellow base with inner tubes built in. The set comes with a sandpit, ridable train toy, and a Bubblebrook Elephant standing baby in a yellow shirt with a wavy pattern and blue pants.

ES Nursery Double-Decker Bus (I think this may have actually been available for a while, but it just got listed on the site recently)

A yellow and white double-decker bus, with silver details, that has seventeen brown baby seats inside. The roof and one side of the bus is open for easy play.

ES Playtime Castle Nursery

A white nursery castle with purple and pink turrets, yellow flags and a round sun detail on the top. There's a yellow slide, lots of windows, and a purple swing in a doorway across from the slide. The set also has two purple chairs and white table. The set comes with a sitting Fennec Fox baby in pink.

Going back to some more Japanese releases, the Official Store revealed some upcoming releases on "X."

Musical Note Babies (July 16 Preorder | July 25 Release)

and a New Fox Family! (July 2 Pre-order | July 11 Release)

I'm not totally certain about the exclusivity of these items. The foxes are pretty sweet. I hope this mold gets a red fox release one day (a grey/black fox would be awesome too)!

Finally we have a new item to go with some of the desert-themed items we saw last month. This set can be seen in the large image at the top of this subpage of the Japanese site. Right in the middle, we can see an adventure mountain set that hasn't been added to the store yet. It features three levels, with a ferris wheel, roller coaster that goes through the mountain and down a waterfall, some sort of secret doorway on the third level, what looks like a pulley to bring items to the third level lookout, and a rideable plane mounted on top.

Lastly, for a hint of mystery, here's a Reddit post with discussion of a leak of unknown origin that shows some silhouettes of possible Fall releases. Again, best to be cautious about stuff like this. In any case, we shall see in time!

Challenge 2026.5 The Mayflower Gang

Challenge 2026.5 May Flowers

A lttle late in posting, but here we go! There was a little photo-editing but that was in the minority. I decided to write a story set during Darcy's childhood - before he started to go to school where he met Jackson Butterglove.

The Mayflower Gang

Hello my friends. It's Darcy here in a somewhat reminiscent mood.

I'd had a phone call from Wade Waters. He reminded me that it was May and that it was probably time we fulfilled our promise to an old childhood chum, especially as we'd missed a couple of years. I agreed, saying I'd contact my pal Spencer Maces and we'd arrange a time to meet up in our special place.

So it was that Wade, Spencer and I met up at Laburnum Grove. We had timed it perfectly as the brilliant yellow flowers of the trees were at their most profuse. They always are in the first month of May.

2026 New Releases - March/April/May

Alright, after a bit of a hiatus due to personal reasons, I'm back to to look at our latest news!

Starting off with a fun tidbit: Elena Biscuit has been officially elected mayor!

Alright, let's look at some of the new releases on the Japanese online store. First off, two new older brother keychains. Can't say I'm a fan of the keychain aspect, but these guys are looking pretty dapper.

Keychains of Bruce Husky and a Macavity Cat older brother in fancy, vintage-looking brown suits, grey hats, and shiny shoes

These are exclusive to the online store and select official shops. Bruce Husky    Cat

We also have some new standing baby keychains: a Deer prince in a red and blue outfit with a cloak and a Chocolate Rabbit princess in a frilly pink dress. These are also exclusive to the online store and select official shops.

And yet more keychains:
- a curly-eared cat girl in a fluffy grey cat costume (cat-ception?)
- and a chef deer standing baby in a pot of soup (I hope that little chef knows what she's doing)

We have another new town older sibling: the Persian Town Girl, also an online shop/select official stores release. Also check out this special website about the town ladies, as they're called here!
A white persian cat with a pink dress that has a delicate floral trim and lacey bottom. She comes with a mint green lacey blouse, a skirt with a diamond and flower pattern, a purple scarf with magenta bow, a purple dress, and two pairs of shoes: white boots and blue flats

And yet more online shop/select official store releases: the Elegant Husky Family and Elegant Husky Puppies. These huskies feature delicate pastel outfits with ornate floral accents. The family comes with two adults, two kids, and three laying babies. The puppy set comes with a sitting, standing and crawling baby. These fancy individuals fit in well with some of the other elegant redressings we've gotten lately.

The huskies: mom in purple with a bonnet, sister in pale blue with a bonnet, dad in a blue shirt and pink pants, with a cream hat, brother in pink, laying babies in yellow, pink, and blue, sitting baby in a cream and green, standing baby in pale blue with a bonnet, and crawling baby in brown

And a pretty scrumptious set with a recoloured Red-Roofed house in muted red/pastel mint (with some brown, cream, and muted blue details) and a ton of very nicely detailed furniture recolors. Yep, this is also online shop/select official stores only.

Moving onto some hopefully more affordable sets (at least depending on your country), we have some new Easy Buy sets, starting off with White Pomeranians. The Brazilian site has both a family set, as well as standing/crawling twins.
White Pomeranians: a parent in a pink and white dress with a flower and diamond pattern, standing baby in a pale teal dress with lace collar, and a parent in a blue, pink, and white striped shirt and dark blue pants with grey cuffs. Pomeranian twins: sitting baby in pink, crawling baby in blue, and a yellow rideable car

Another super sweet Easy Buy set has three laying Floral Cat babies (in purple, pink, and yellow) all nestled in a blue and pink triple stroller with a little orange flower detail on each section of the stroller.

And finally an Easy Buy nursery castle with a lop-eared rabbit baby. All these sets can be viewed on the Brazil site.
A white nursery castle with purple and pink turrets, yellow flags and a round sun detail on the top. There's a yellow slide, lots of windows, and a purple swing in a doorway across from the slide. The set also has two purple chairs and white table.

Before we get into some of the biggest new releases (there are two whole new lines 🙀), here's a little lightning round of additional items:

⭐The newest baby blind bag series has been revealed on the Japanese site: Baby Adventure Series. Note the tiger baby!
Blind bag babies: Tiger cub with cowboy hat, Chocolate bunny cub (with tiara), Latte cat cub with helmet and trolley, crawling seal cub with crocodile headgear, panda cub with bandage costume, husky cub with pickaxe, milk bunny cub with cactus costume, and a secret obscured critter
⭐There are some new online exclusive additions to the United States Calico Critters official shop. I believe all of these have been previously released in other countries: Cutie Collectibles - Milky Way Babies | Cutie Collectibles -Milky Way Friends | Beautiful Bride and Groom (Chocolate Rabbits) | Happy Honeybee Babies | Blossom Dress Baby Duo | and the Elegant Striped Cats (four figure family)

⭐Some keychains have also joined the United States Online shop: the Burger Baby (Fennec Fox), Sweet Snowman (Koala), Charming Chihuahua, and Dainty Dress Milk Rabbit. All but the last two are online exclusives.

⭐Some footage from New York toy fair, a couple months ago, showed us some probable North American releases for this year, including the Sparkling Water house, Sparkling Water house furniture set, Classic Family Car, Fairy Mushroom house, Seal Captain & boat, berry blind bags, the Citrus Birds (parents only), and more. The Citrus birds are up on the online store already and I think I heard they've been spotted in the wild too.

⭐ It looks like some Calico Critter families are dropping the beads and buttons and switching them for fabric details like bows, so watch out for these clothing changes if you're buying in North America

⭐ There's a whole lot of new merch on the Japanese online store (bags, notebooks, stickers, and more)

Okay, with all that covered, now let's look at the two new lines that we have coming out. First is the Little Tales line. This is a whimsical fantasy-inspired line with four sets so far:

Little Tales Collection: The Owl's Secret Room
Translated from the Japan site: "This set includes a baby owl and owl-themed furniture. It comes with a rocking chair, clock, specimen shelf, celestial globe, and star-shaped mat. The minerals in the specimen shelf appear to glow. The clock's hands and pendulum move."
The Owl's Secret Room set: The baby owl is fuzzy and cream-coloured, wearing a green dress and cloak, as well as a purple witch hat. The furniture is brown and the grandfather clock has whimsical celestial details and an owl shaped top. The specimens on the shelf are crystals and seashells. Some of the crystals are in clear display domes.

Yep, that's right - new owls! This witchy owl has a peer:

Little Tales Collection: The Owl's Mysterious Vegetable Garden
Translated from the Japan site: "This set includes a baby owl and a vegetable garden. When you stir the pot, the vegetables and mushrooms in the garden sway – it has a magical mechanism! The baby owl is characterized by the small decorative feathers on its head. You can put a pointed hat on it." Note: I think the "decorative feathers" are referring to the fluffy flocking.
The baby owl wears a pink dress, cloak, and witch hat. The garden is a large plastic piece with a brown ground base with mushrooms and vegetables sticking out. There is a tiny cream coloured building facade witha purple roof, brown window frames, and a green lantern. The cauldron is silver with an orange stir stick, and there's a bendy pitchfork with a green handle.
And mum owl can be found in this set:

Little Tales Collection: The House Where the Owl Can See the Stars
Translated from the Japan site: "This set includes an owl mother and a pointed-roof house. It comes with a telescope and a magical experiment apparatus. When you turn the handle of the experiment apparatus, the crystals appear to float and glow."

The owl wears a blue dress and cloak. The house is raised off the ground on tree roots and is whimsically shaped with an organically-curving purple roof and bulged cream walls. It has a blue door and brown details including windowframes and a tiny balcony. The experiment apparatus looks like a clear globe, on a tiny table with a crank.

And the owls have a feline friend:

Little Tales Collection: The Flying Broom in the Moonlight
Translated from the Japan site: "This set includes a Silk Cat Baby and a broom that flies through the night sky. The broom moves up and down, making it look like it's flying. The Silk Cat Baby is wearing an outfit and hat with star motifs."

The baby wears a purple dress, cape, and witch hat. The broom is suspended on a plastic cloud and has a pearly pale purple lantern hanging on it. There is a clear plastic cloud shape sticking out of the white plastic cloud. This clear piece has a small white cloud and yellow moon on top of it. It also has a spellbook sticking off of it.

Little Tales items are available to purchase in Japan and hopefully will be announced in other countries in the future!

Okay, as if that's not enough, let's check out new line #2. I'm not sure what they're calling this one but all these items have similarly designed boxes and seem to be part of a new range. These are newly listed on the Japanese site, with only the Crocodile Train being ready for pre-order so far. These appear to be regular runs, so hopefully we'll see them in additional countries in the future, too!

Exciting Crocodile Train
The set includes a standing persian cat baby in a pith helmet, patterned shirt, and jeans. The crocodile train is three cars long, with a playful crocodile head and tail at the start and end of the train. The train station has a train crossing light, a map, and a fence with a swinging gate.
Showtime at the Cactus House

The set includes a standing lion baby in a green outfit, a plastic cactus-shaped building with swinging saloon doors, instruments and seating, and two plastic cactus statues with simple cartoon faces holding instruments.

Tiger Adventure Bike

A tiger adult with a long striped tail, wearing a brown helmet, tiger-pattern scarf, goggles, and vest riding a yellow motorcycle with saddlebags. There is a white stand for the motorcycle that looks like an exhaust cloud.
I don't buy new sets very often these days, but this tiger adventurer may just come to live in my village if this set comes to my part of the world. The bike is a very classy design too and I think this critter would enjoy riding with my Mulberry Racoon grandparent bikers.

Okay, that was a whole lot of news! What do you think of the new sets? Any favourites?

And if you know of any other new releases I missed, feel free to drop 'em down in the comments👀

Challenge 2026-6: TOURISM

Look, what I found in my mailbox, today:

A postcard from my friend Martin and his 3 little pals
                     sent with love from Menorca!

Dear friends,

Summer is just around the corner – and the holidays are drawing nearer:

Show us how your crittizens explore new places, get ready for their holidays and wear stylish travel outfits.
Design all sorts of travel essentials (such as suitcases, rucksacks
or similar items), a passport, sunglasses, beachwear and beach
toys, tents or windbreaks, or whatever else might be useful to your
Sylvanian friends on their travels around the world.

Perhaps your Crittizens are planning a trip –
in which case they might need travel magazines, books,
their globe, a tablet or a travel agency to get some advice.

Take photos in your own photo set at home or outdoors in a park
or another scenic spot. (If your town or village happens to be a
tourist hotspot – why not show us your favourite spots?)

If you like, tell us a holiday story ;) or share a funny snapshot...

Whatever feels right to you – just go for it!

But above all:

Have lots of Sylvanian fun!
