Challenge response: Spring

My first post on any blog! Please excuse any issues with it...

Here's my response to the Spring Creative Challenge

Lily has a new dress covered in embroidered tulips and daffodils - just right for Spring!

I also took inspiration from daffodils for the second project where I created a play place for my tiny Sylvanians. The Husky baby sitting in it seems to be happy!
As is often the case these projects are made of felt and thread. Apologies for the shadows in the photos - wanted to use the spring sunshine...

  1. Congratulations on your first ever blog post! With that milestone passed you'll become more confident using Blogger. The good thing is that, before you publish, you can experiment with your post. If something doesn't work you can edit or scrap it.

Lily's outfit is lovely. It can be fiddly with clothes for Sylvanian babies but you've mastered your felt tailoring.

  2. I love both of your creations, H Thistlethorn! Lily's dress is so lovely with those tiny embroidered details, so impressive! And the Husky baby seems quite content in the new play place. Lovely work!

  3. Hello HThistlethorn,

Congratulations on your first post! I really like your take on the theme of ‘spring’. Lily Bullrush is wearing a beautifully embroidered new dress that goes perfectly with her green complexion – and your little husky is a lovely eye-catcher sitting on his daffodil seat. I bet the other children at the Freudsheim Orphanage would love to have one just like it now… ;)

    Great jobs, both of them!

  4. Such cute spring outfits! I especially like Lily’s dress. I zoomed in on the picture to get a better look at the embroidered flowers. Great job on such a tiny dress!
